The Vine Nursery and Primary School features an excellent staff of teachers and an experienced Head Master, as well as loving house-parents for our boarding students. We provide a rigorous Christ-centered education based on Ugandan educational standards, high-performance, and holistic outcomes for students.
Our school motto is “Enter to learn… Leave to Serve.”
Tailoring Vocational School
The Vine offers a 6 month certified tailoring program. Applicants are selected and trained by our skilled professionals as they learn to make shirts, pants, skirts, dresses, and purses. Once the program is complete students receive a certificate recognized by the government and they're ready to enter the workforce as a seamstress.
Functional Adult Literacy
Most women in the villages can not read or write, and use a thumbprint to represent their names. The Vine takes a literacy curriculum into the villages and teaches women how to read, write, and perform basic math facts. A final exam is given at the end of the course and women leave the program as functionally literate adults.
Although Uganda values education, only half of the children starting Primary School will finish 7th grade.
Merely 22% of Ugandan students complete Secondary School, leaving most children little hope to rise above the crushing weight of poverty.

The Vine offers full scholarships for students identified by The Vine social workers.
Academic materials are distributed to children throughout Kamuli.
The Vine Nursery School serves three, four, and five-year-olds in quality education and early learning.
The Vine Sunday School serves the needs of students and neighbors surrounding The Vine with Bible lessons and weekly worship.
