Our Story

In 2010, Gari Meacham led a team of teachers offering a training to the staff at Musana Community Development Center. What began as a 3-week trip turned into a life-long love.

In 2013, Gari and a small team launched a Sunday School class with small meetings in a few villages. This led to forming the child sponsorship program and various programs for women.

In 2018, Gari, Executive Director, Richard Mwogereze, and The Vine Board led a re-launch of the organization under a new name, Kamuli The Vine Uganda.

Today, we love infants, orphans, and toddlers through The Vine Baby Cottage, as well as providing quality, Christ-centered education through The Vine Primary School. We serve in 20 rural villages bringing literacy and sustainable projects to vulnerable women, as well as The Vine Vocational School which provides a nationally accredited tailoring certificate to enrolled students. We also host Outreach Events that focus on spiritual discipleship and much needed medical care.
